Physically challenged boys and girls are encouraged to take part in sports and cultural activities. They are provided outdoor sports kits like cricket, throw ball, badminton, as well as indoor games like carom, chess, table tennis etc. They also participate in sports tournaments and competitions organized by other institutions. We have put together a cultural program called ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ in which physically challenged boys and girls perform song and dance on wheel chairs, one leg, one artificial leg etc. This program has been performed 60 times in Orissa, Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Hyderabad, Thane etc.
Noted personalities from the field of education, culture, literature, and Human Resources Development are invited to deliver lectures and conduct workshops for the benefit of students as well as for staff members.
Due to their economic condition and physical disability, the disabled persons are mainly confined to their villages or nearby areas. It has been our endavour to arrange at least one excursion trip by train / bus to faraway places of tourist or historical importance. This broadens their horizon and builds up their confidence in traveling, meeting people from different backgrounds and generally refreshing them to better concentrate on their studies or work.
