HandiHelp Welfare Foundation is a company formed under Section 8 (Formerly Section 25) of the Companies Act in 2016. The Foundation provides comprehensive rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in various areas, such as:
1. ‘Swapna Nagari’, Dist. Sindhudurg - ‘Swapna Nagari’, Dist. Sindhudurg a hostel cum rehabilitation center that provides vocational training in cashew processing, and other activities like farming, plantation, etc. to the disabled persons from rural and backward areas. The center also provides accommodation, food, health care, and social activities to the inmates.
2. Vocational training center - A Vocational training center in Kolhapur that provides skills in making appliances for the disabled, such as calipers, crutches, wheelchairs, etc. The center also provides skills in tailoring, needlework, and handicrafts to the disabled women, and helps them to earn a livelihood.
Requirement of donation for the current year : Rs. 7.50 Lakh
Cumulative Capital Cost incurred to date : Rs. 11.12 lakh

Academic education is vital for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities. However, there are a few of them who either have not got an opportunity for good education or who did not have academic inclination. We have established our Vocational Training center for rehabilitation of such persons. This center provides skills and training in various fields, such as manufacturing, carpentry, fabrication, and modification of aids and appliances for the disabled. The center also provides the service of giving wheel chairs, walkers, walking sticks, and portable commodes on rent for temporary use necessitated due to illness or accidents. The center employs 6 physically challenged men who work in the workshop. The center also sells its products to the customers and generates income for the organization.
This unit has earned revenue receipts to the tune of Rs. 11.40 lakh during the report period. We are glad to report that our Vocational Training center has been recognized by Government of Maharashtra for supply of aids and appliances to state government employees.
Academic education is vital for the rehabilitation of the disabled. However, there are a few disabled youngsters who either did not get the opportunity for good education or who did not have academic inclination. For such disabled persons, we have established our Vocational Training center. Our Products like -
Manufactures – Tricycles, walkers, calipers, crutches, portable commodes, woolen rolls making machine, flour dough making machine, sanitizer stands.
Carpentry Work - Office and school furniture, etc.
Fabrication work. Metal frames, gates, grills, etc.
Modify – Wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, etc. to suit the needs and preferences of the users.
Provide the service of giving Wheel chairs, walkers, walking sticks, and portable commodes on rent for temporary use necessitated due to illness or accidents.
Currently, 7 physically challenged persons are working in the workshop.
We are glad to inform you that our Vocational Training center has been recognized by Government of Maharashtra for supply of aids and appliances to state government employees.

In this center, physically challenged men and women are trained in tailoring, needle work, and making handicraft items. They are very innovative and good learners. The specialty of our products is that they are useful, beautiful, customized, and supplied in reasonable rates. The center also provides employment opportunities to the trainees and helps them to earn a livelihood. The center also participates in various exhibitions and fairs to showcase and sell its products.
This unit has earned revenue receipts to the tune of Rs. 3.60 lakh during the report period.
The construction of the building was sponsored by General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC). The center was inaugurated by Hon. Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil, the then Minister for Public Works and Guardian Minister of Kolhapur district on 9 July 2017. In this center, disabled men and women are trained in tailoring, needle work, and making handicrafts. Our Products –
Tailoring – School- college and factory uniforms, dresses, frocks, Cross bags, hand bags, cotton shopping bags, Shabanam bags, Apron etc.
Needle work and handicrafts – Embroidered handkerchiefs and scarves, mobile pouches, door hangings, hand bags, Show pieces etc.
